Rush Street teams up with Connecticut Lottery for new business opportunities

A new sports betting partnership has begun with Rush Street Interactive (RSI) and the Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) joining hands.

CLC is aiming to launch new business operations via RSI if the latter gains the license to operate from the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection.

As per Gambling Insider, Richard Schwartz, President of RSI said: “We are honored to be selected by the CLC to bring sports betting to the state and people of Connecticut. This partnership represents a significant milestone for RSI, as the trust and confidence of a state-backed organisation such as the CLC further validates the strength of our award-winning online gaming platform and customer service.”

Under the 10-year deal, RSI will provide its sports betting system to the lottery across multiple mobile, online and retail channels. It would also be able to operate mobile and online sportsbook.

Greg Smith, CLC President and CEO added: “We had 15 quality proposals from well-established gaming companies, and RSI rose to the top through the combination of its experience and commitment to quality products, customer service, and responsible gaming safeguards.”

“Rush Street Interactive is a respected sports betting and gaming company that has established itself as a leading innovator in the industry,” commented Rob Simmelkjaer, Chairman, CLC Board of Directors, as reported by Gambling Insider.

CLC would be able to operate on15 retail sports betting locations and one statewide online sports betting with RSI.
