An alleged fraudulent online gambling website has been going by the name Sands Online Gambling Corp. since 2020 and has been allegedly using Sands China Ltd.’s brand name.
Sands China Ltd is a casino operator in Macau, which has issued a statement distancing itself from a fraudulent online gambling website. The said website is believed to be operating under the “Sands Macao” name and is based out of Guangdong Province.
As per Gambling Insider, Sands China said: “Sands Online Gambling Corp is using our company’s property name and trademarks without our permission and in breach of the law” and noted that “company does not engage in online gambling activities of any kind and vigorously pursues all reports of trademark infringement.”
It added: “All websites purporting to offer online gaming and using our brands are fake and should be reported to the relevant authorities immediately.”
