In a rather philanthropist move, SJM Holdings Ltd. emerged as a Samaritan for its employees and announced that it would pay living subsidy to its employees.
Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A (SJM), which is the Macau operations unit of SJM Holdings Ltd., would provide the subsidy in two equal payments.
The employees with certain level of income would be provided with the living subsidy in January and July 2021.
The payment is part of company’s bonus scheme running from 2020 to 2022 where the company has already paid bonus in July 2020. The January bonus is due on 6th January, 2021.
SJM Chairman Daisy Ho said: “We would like to thank our staff members for their diligent work and dedicated support amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic”, reported Gambling Insider.
The Chairman added, “SJM fully supports the preventive measures taken by the Macau SAR Government. Entering 2021, we stand in solidarity with the Macau people in safeguarding the health and safety of the community, and in welcoming a bright new year.”
