The Taiwanese Government, in order to, encourage cloud receipts has decided to make changes to the lottery prizes.
The govt. believes that the changes to the lottery could persuade the people to ask for more cloud receipts.
To this end, the govt. has decided to increase lottery prizes so that the required target of 38% could be reached at by the end of the year.
Last year, cloud receipts amounted for 31.6% of all electronic receipts last year, according to the Ministry of Finance (MOF).
It will increase the number of NT$500 ($17.24) prizes and also introduce a brand-new NT$800 prize. The number of winners for the NT$1m prize will also double from 15 to 30, while winners for the NT$2,000 prize will rise by 1,000; bringing the total to 16,000, as reported by Gambling Insider.
