Addiction to online gambling led two men from Tamil Nadu to commit suicide they lost money in the gambling.
Jeevanandam of Thondamuthur, aged 28 years hanged himself at his house as he was unable to bear a loss Rupees 20,000 in online gambling.
The deceased had set aside Rs. 50,000 to be given to his friend but ended up losing part of it due to his gambling addiction.
In another incident, Jayachandran, a lathe operator in Sundarapuram, aged 32 years of age hanged himself at his house as he could not win the required amount.
Jayachandran had borrowed money for medical expenses twice from his friends and relatives but was unable to repay it.
Police stated that due to his recent found gambling addiction, he had quit going to work as well.
The mental pressure compelled both the persons to end their lives.
