charge rifle nerfed

After all the hype around Apex Legends Season 3, it has finally arrived. The last couple of weeks have all been about the highly anticipated hacker Crypto and a new planet. And finally, its time for Crypto to rule the new World’s Edge as both Crypto and the new map are live now. With the new Season 3, also arrives a new Battle Pass. Moreover, Season 3 also introduced the Charge Rifle as a new weapon. But it seems like the new weapon needs to be nerfed as it is too strong.

The Charge Rifle also known as the powerful anti-Titan weapon from Titanfall needs some rebalancing. The weapon is a Designated Marksman Rifle. But it seems like players have found a way to exploit the weapon and use it in mid-range and close-range fights as well. They are using the hitscan mechanism to do so. Therefore, Respawn is now planning to nerf the weapon and even out the odds.

“We want to be thoughtful in the way we make changes for it,” Respawn community manager Jay Frechette said in the first episode of Apex Devstream, a video series aimed at exploring the behind the scenes of Apex Legends. “So with the Charge Rifle, this won’t be a [straight-forward] damage nerf. We’ll be increasing the amount of ammo that is used per shot, changing the mag size for it, and also bringing in a bit of the falloff damage.”

Moreover, as the new season arrived, rumors and leaks have started to surface once again. Just as the season 3 began, a new leak hinting at the Apex Legends Halloween game mode has been on the internet. We have also heard about a new character leak which hints at Revenant. Respawn is even working on the heavily-requested update to the Training mode.
