Xbox bone controller available on Apple store

Back in March this year, Apple announced its game streaming platform called Apple Arcade featuring more than 100 games. The new gaming service from Apple finally launched on September 19th for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV, after being in a beta phase when Apple rolled out its Apple Arcade gaming service to iOS 13 and iOS 13.1 beta testers. It hasn’t been a month yet and Apple Arcade already received four new games yesterday. And now, to deepen its roots in the gaming industry, Apple is selling Microsoft’s Xbox controller.

Last month, Apple rolled out iOS 13 update with a feature to connect with Xbox One, PS4. This feature allows you to use your Xbox controller with your iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Mac. To take full advantage of the feature, Apple has begun selling Microsoft’s Xbox Wireless Controller in its online store, with availability in stores on Friday. The controller costs $59.95 on both Apple’s and Microsoft’s websites. However, no signs of the DualShock 4 controller from Sony have been spotted as of now but we can always expect that as it seems very likely.

Apple Arcade is already facing tough competition from the rival Google Play Pass which launched a few days after Apple’s service. And with this new sales pitch, Apple seems to only grow even further in the gaming industry. So, it’s Google’s turn now to play the card and it will be interesting to see how the company responds to this.
