Blizzard Developers who created Diablo 3 have posted some system design updates on the official website of Diablo 3. David Kim, the lead system designer of Blizzard said “I have learned over years of experience that the player community is an incredibly valuable resource to draw upon when designing and refining a game. By working together, we can achieve great things.”

Diablo 4 is under development and  Kim said he will post every change in design so that the team may get the response from the community and work accordingly. He also posted some system design updates as well. According to Kim, Diablo 4 will support Elective Mode-style skill selection and Skill selection and assignment will always be completely open for all players. It allows you to decide which skills are assigned to which buttons on your controller or keyboard.

Some features are still completely up in the air, including endgame progression. The developers have yet to decide whether high-end progression will be finite or infinite, and we might see a level cap combined with a second experience system that would “capture the fun of achieving those really difficult endgame goals and ranks.”

Blizzard is aiming to have the beta release next year ahead of the game’s full release sometime in 2021.
