call of duty modern warfare season 1

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was a huge hit back in 2007 when it intrigued the gaming community with a fascinating storyline and gameplay. Recently, Modern Warfare which is a re-imagined version of 2007 classic even officially rolled out a beta earlier this month with the title is all set to arrive on October 25th. But before its launch, Activision is busy sharing new trailers and details as the company recently shared a new Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare launch gameplay trailer alongside a new Special Ops Mode trailer. Moreover, we also know that you don’t need to free up 175GB on your gaming PC to play  Call of Duty: Modern Warfare at launch. Activision has also confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will have a battle pass instead of loot boxes. And now, Activision is removing the Prestige System completely.

In a recent blog, Activision explained the new progression system which replaces the earlier Prestige System. Unlike an overall level for an individual player, the new system will be divided into three levels namely, Player Level, Enlisted Rank, and Officer Rank.

Each player starts at Rank 1 Private in the Enlisted Ranks. As a player gains XP by completing challenges, players move up through the Enlisted Rank, unlocking weapons and attachments. Once they reach rank 55 Command Sergeant Major V, they progress further to Officer Ranks which will be a seasonal progression system similar to titles like PUBG and Fortnite. Moreover, on progressing a level further in Officer Rank, players will earn a ribbon, and for every 10 ribbons earned the seasonal emblem will upgrade piece by piece until it eventually transforms into an animated emblem at 100 ribbons.

However, not much has been disclosed as of and the new progression system will be more clearly understandable once Call of Duty: Modern Warfare finally launches on October 25th.
