Call of Duty, a rivalry to PUBG has a big hit with the runaway success of Call of Duty: Warzone. Just a few weeks ago, the game crossed the 30 million worldwide users. Now the game has surpassed 50 million players. Activision also announced that more than 2.4 billion hours have been played to date in the Modern Warfare universe.

The game’s player count has been steadily climbing since its release. The game has been continuously getting new content like alternate game modes and other things to keep players intact, so that number will probably hold steady and continue growing as future season begin and more content is added. Both Warzone and Modern Warfare just recently welcomed the third season of content to the games which meant more features and changeups to keep players interested. Part of those changes included the addition of a Quads mode so that players could form four-person teams.

STATS:

With 6 million player downloads in the first 24 hours, Call of Duty: Warzone has surpassed previous milestones set by fellow free-to-play games. Apex Legends drew in 2.5 million downloads in its first 24 hours, with 50 million downloads in the first month. If we look at its growth, During the first four days it reached 15 million players. In the next 10 days, it reached 30 million players, now it has reached more than 50 million players which is one of the biggest successes of Activision.

DOWNLOADS AND EARNINGS:

Activision Blizzard’s Call of Duty: Mobile generated 148 million downloads in its first month. PUBG Mobile and Fortnite Mobile trailed behind at 60.7 million and 35 million downloads respectively. While all three games are free to play, in-app purchases brought in $52.9 million for COD Mobile in its first month, with PUBG Mobile and Fortnite Mobile collecting $3.5 million and $27.1 million respectively.
