Keanu Reeves as one of the main characters in upcoming Cyberpunk 2077

Ever since CD Projekt Red announced its highly anticipated title Cyberpunk 2077, it has been a hot topic of discussion among gamers. But it was during the recent Gamescom 2019, that we got to see glimpses of the game. Recently, the game developers CD Projekt Red confirmed in a tweet that their highly anticipated title Cyberpunk 2077 will have a multiplayer component. However, this isn’t an easy task as the developers are trying hard to fit in with the lore of the Cyberpunk world and it feels right.

CD Projekt Red is actively engaging with the audience and has already given enough details about the game including its recently released a 14-minute video during the PAX West event. The company even announced that the game will be completely first-person including the cutscenes. Moreover, the developers even Male/Female options in character mode. and further announced that the title will be featuring a smaller yet denser map than Witcher 3. Then just a few days back, the company announced that Multiplayer feature will also be included in the game. Last week, the developers revealed how Keanu Revees isn’t a romance option in the game.

For fans who have been following the games’ development since the early days must be familiar with the fact that the company initially hinted at the ‘Multiplayer Mode‘ back in 2013. But it wasn’t until last weeks’ Tokyo Game Show that the company came up with an official announcement. And now, the studio further reveals that they weren’t quite sure about how the ‘Multiplayer Mode’ will fit into the games’ storyline and therefore, never committed until and unless it was completely feasible.

During an interview at the Tokyo Game Show 2019, Max Pears, a level designer at CD Projekt Red, discussed adding multiplayer to Cyberpunk 2077 and their thought process behind it. Here’s what he had to say:

“I can’t say too much on it because it’s still going through its process, but it’s about making sure that multiplayer fits in with the lore of the world and it feels right,”

We’ve still got work going on and we’re hiring to make sure that we get the right people for the job,” Pears continues. “The main focus is still single-player right now and we’re making sure that people understand that this world is more than big enough for single-player.”

Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be one of the biggest arrivals ever when it arrives next year. And with all the hype created ever since Keanu Reeves took the wraps off of the title during E3, 2019, it will be interesting to see how well it live ups to the hype.
