Dear Esther comming on iOS

The Chinese Room’s famous indie exploration walking simulator “Dear Esther” is finally coming to iOS devices in 2019. It made its debut on PC in 2012 and arrived for console gaming in 2016. Since then it has been the Chinese Room’s masterpiece and has sold over 1 Million units. It has been stated as interactive and emotional storytelling by many gamers. Even the popular gaming news website PC Gamer said it “provokes thought and feeling in a way few other games do.” Furthermore, it has really impressive visuals and music featuring Jesicca Curry’s BAFTA and TIGA award-winning soundtrack.

“Without Dear Esther, The Chinese Room perhaps wouldn’t exist, so to know that people will continue to explore the island in search of answers is incredibly fulfilling,” said Dan Pinchbeck from developer The Chinese Room. “iOS devices will offer an experience perhaps even more intimate and personal than when the game is played on a PC or a console, so I look forward to hearing how the game affects a new generation of players.”

Dear Esther starts on a Hebridean isle wherein the player explores the mysterious coastlines and caves of the island in order to advance further in the game. A troubled man utters fragments from a series of letters to his deceased wife ‘Dear Esther”. Details of her mysterious death are revealed as the player moves throughout the island.

Dear Esther is beautiful, in both looks and narrative and is a really breathtaking experience and iOS owners should be really excited and feel lucky about the arrival of this magnificent game this year.
