Anthem is an online multiplayer action role-playing video game developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. The game was released globally for Microsoft WindowsPlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 22, 2019, and just within 7 months of its launch, the title has been made available to EA Access and Origin Access subscribers. With this, now players can play Anthem for as little as $5 a month with the Basic tier ($7 in Australia, £4 in the UK), on all three platforms — PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Many other games are coming to EA Access alongside Anthem which includes titles like:

  • Out of the Park Baseball 20 (basic edition)
  • The Escapists 2
  • Ultimate Chicken Horse
  • Vambrace: Cold Soul
  • Yooka-Laylee

EA Access and Origin Access features the Standard Edition, however, those who subscribe to the PC-only Origin Access Premier version of service will get access to the Legion of Dawn edition, which further offers extra armor for each class of Javelin (the mechanical battle suit that player characters wear).

EA Access and Origin Access offers a large collection of games to choose from, with recent additions including the likes of Battlefield V, FIFA 19 and The Sims 4, among many others.

Even after the takeoff of a few key engineers, including lead maker Ben Irving, Bioware still has hopes from Anthem. Recently, early in August, Bioware rolled out Cataclysm event after players had to wait for a long time and then just last week, the company came up with an update introducing bug fixes and improvements. It will be interesting to see how beneficial Anthem’s inclusion in EA Access and Origin Access proves to be for the company.
