Apex Legends is getting its official tournament. EA Sports and Respawn Entertainment will host the tournament and the tournament will be called Apex Legends Global Series. The Apex Legends Global Series will initially feature 12 global live events, either operated by EA and Respawn Entertainment. The registration for the first event will start next year in January. Apex Legends released the trailer with the announcement:
The prize money for the first-ever online tournament from Apex Legends is $3 million. These tournaments are limited to the PC platform, Console players are not allowed.

There will be two types of the tournament in the event: the Premier Events and the aforementioned Majors. The Premier Events will bring the top players from different regions to fight each other and will also award players with Global Series points and opportunities for Majors. The Major Events will award players with the prize money. The Major Events will be hosted by EA Sports.
“There will be four Majors during the Apex Legends Global Series,” EA said about its competitions. “The first three Majors will feature 300 players (100 three-player teams) competing for a $500k prize pool. The fourth Major is the Apex Legends Global Series Championship, where only the top 60 Global Series teams are invited to compete for a prize pool of $1 million.”
The Premier Events of the game will start from 25th January these events will be the qualifiers for Major Events. The Major event will take place in March. These games will be streamed live for the fans and viewers.
