The month of August proved to be good for Epic Games Store as many new announcements and significant changes were made including the Increased Cloud Save and Keyless Integration With Humble Store. Then 8 more new exclusive games were added. However, Epic Games is offering ‘Hades’ which is exclusive to Steam, coming December. And now, Epic Games Store is getting a redesigned storefront with a better layout, in-game overlay, and more.

Epic Games said in in a post, “You’ll be able to see what games are trending, filter by genre, and more so that you can find games you’ll love faster and easier than before.”

The company further showed the new rebranded storefront which will include curated collections, better game sorting, and improved overall navigation. Furthermore, you’ll be given access to sort games by release status (Early Access, new, upcoming, etc.), genre, price, supported Operating System, and player count.

Additionally, an in-game overlay is also set to arrive, quite similar to what GOG, Uplay, and Steam offer. “It’ll be a while before it’s fully realized but our thoughts here are centered around giving you ways to interact with your Epic Games store (e.g. library, social, etc.) while in-game.”

As for the release, Epic hasn’t commented on it yet but we will keep you updated with the happenings of the gaming industry including the Epic Games Store’s revamp.
