PUBG has taken away the rights of Indian mobile operations from Tencent. Now PUBG is in search of an Indian partner.

A lot has happened since the PUBG ban. The revenue of the company has fallen, PUBG Corp has taken a huge step to take away all publishing responsibilities and will no longer have an association with Tencent. And now PUBG is in search of a new partner which is Indian.

Sources related to the matter suggest that only a licensing agreement will be formed and PUBG Corp will retain the publishing rights for the game. The Indian partner will most likely handle the distribution. There is no official confirmation from PUBG Corp or PUBG Mobile India as of yet.

When the news of Tencent no more a part of PUBG came out, questions were starting to emerge as everyone thought now finally the game will be back as there is no Chinese association. In response to that, a senior government official has said

“Ownership is only one of the concerns. But there are several other issues, based on which the ban has been ordered. The concerns are related to data privacy security, activity inside the phone, etc.,”

Even if PUBG finds an Indian partner to bring back the PUBG venture in India, we don’t know if the ban is lifted or not. Let’s see what happens.
