Square Enix seems to be quite busy these days. Recently, the company teased about a new villain that might feature in its famous title Marvel Avengers, then last week the company showed us glimpses of Hulk’s Thunderclap. The company was again in the news yesterday when it tweeted Iron Man’s heroics. But interestingly, Square Enix isn’t busy only because of Marvel Avengers Game, its Final Fantasy 7 is also serving the company pretty well as this time, the company makes it to the headlines because reports suggest that Final Fantasy VII has a turn-based ‘Classic Mode’.

Final Fantasy which was released back in 1987 is once again set to take the gaming world with a storm as the Final Fantasy 7 Remake launch closes in. Final Fantasy 7 Remake ws one of the major highlights of the Tokyo Game Show alongside Death Stranding which received a 50-minute gameplay video showcased to the general public, featuring how ruthless Sam can be if you are a creepy fellow.

During the Tokyo Game Show, producer Yoshinore Kitase announced that Classic Mode for those that prefer the turn-based combat of the original 1997 release which was further confirmed via the game’s official Twitter account.

Players who opt for Classic Mode won’t have to “worry about the action side of the combat system,” Square Enix said, “and can instead focus on selecting commands, making it possible to play [Final Fantasy 7 Remake] as if it were a classic menu-based RPG.”

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is set to arrive for PlayStation 4 on March 3, 2020, and is another addition to the list of exciting games that will be arriving next year.
