fortnite-junk-rift-disabled-all-game-modes

Fortnite Season 10 kick-started on August 1. The new season brought with it some really interesting updates and features. One of the introduction was ‘B.R.U.T.E mech‘ However it was a controversial introduction as within just 5 days of its arrival, players were finding the B.R.U.T.E mech as requiring no skill at all and just an easy way to get kills and victory royales. Epic Games after much reconsideration, recently released Fortnite 10.10 update and made some major changes to the B.R.U.T.E mech wherein, players were equipped with a targeting laser hooked with directional audio, which will instruct the players as to where the B.R.U.T.E mech is aiming and firing its missile. But this seems to have done no good and finally Epic Game had to nerf the mech. Another major inclusion was Junk Rift. And now, Epic Games have disabled the Junk Rift feature.

Epic Games took to Fortnites’s official Twitter account to announce that Junk Rift has been disabled temporarily for all the modes. However, no clear explanation was given by the company.

Junk Rift used to open a rift(portal) over your enemy, dropping random objects on them. It was used like throwing a bomb on your enemy, but it opened a portal, dropping objects and killing your enemy. It was even a great way to take on the B.R.T.E mech. Epic Games has announced that it would be disabling the item across all games modes because of an issue.

Junk Rift has already been disabled in Arena playlists on August 22 due to an audio issue, however, it was greeted well by pro-Fortnite players such as Team Liquid’s Ryan ‘Chap’ Chaplo who praised the item’s removal.
