Epic Games introduced Fortnite’s Season 10 on August 1. But Epic seems to have made too many errors this season. First, players were unhappy with the introduction of B.R.U.T.E Mech as it handed an undue advantage to players and there were very few weapons to counterattack the mech. After much reconsideration, Epic Games finally nerfed the mech. Then, it removed Junk Rift items from all modes. And now, Epic Games have confirmed that the controversial Turbo Build, introduced in update 10.20 has been reversed.

Epic posted changes made regarding the Turbo Building on its official website. Turbo Building was introduced. It let players hold down the respective build button in order to create a building in whichever direction they were pointing rather than having to press a button each time. However, the developers thought that players with low pings had an advantage with building, so they added a slight delay of 0.15 seconds, up from the original 0.05 seconds, to even things out. The speed adjustment has now been reversed since players seemed unhappy with the addition of extra .15 seconds as building is an essential part of the game. Even pro-gamer, streamer  Tyler “Ninja” Blevins tweeted saying “nerf building.”

Furthermore, Epic says that if two players are building a new structure at the same place simultaneously after the original structure has been destroyed, the game will now be using a ‘random roll’ to determine which player gets to place a structure on the spot. This change seems to have been made following the reversal of building time as it is intended to reduce the effect poor ping has on which player gets to drop the first structure in place.

These two changes seem to be Epic Games’ effort to prevent players from spamming walls in the same place against enemy’s attack, similar to when an opponent is using a minigun to destroy a base and will also reduce the impact of ping during build battles.
