Epic Games is a big fan of introducing pop-culture to its famous Battle Royale title, Fornite. Ever since the title launched, the company has introduced tons of new updates alongside many crossover events including the recent ‘Area 51 themed skin owing to the famous Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop Us All‘ meme and the currently ongoing FortniteXBatman‘ crossover to honor the iconic superhero’s 80th anniversary. As for updates, v10.31 update saw the arrival of a ‘Party Hub’ in-game voice chat feature. Leaks even suggest that a new map is on the way, arriving with Season 11. And now, Epic Games is all set to introduce skill-based matchmaking and bots.

In an effort to help newcomers adapt to the game, Fortnite is getting bots alongside a new matchmaking system that will assist players to be placed in a lobby according to their skills and experience. The new matchmaking system will roll out in the upcoming 10.40 update. The patch notes for the new update are expected to arrive soon.

“You will be more likely to match with players of similar skill, and as you get better, so should your opponents,” Epic said in a blog post explaining the changes. “We will slowly roll this out to all regions across Battle Royale core modes as we test and monitor how it performs. We’re excited to get this out for everyone to play with and will continue to update the system.”

The bots will work alongside the new matchmaking system wherein the bots will be monitoring how a player performs and thereafter judging by his/her performance, bots will make adjustments in the matchmaking algorithm accordingly.

There is still time for the new update to arrive, till then you can enjoy the ongoing FortnitexBatman event and complete challenges like ‘Light up Bat Sgnals’ and ‘Diffuse Joker canisters’ and take home 10 Battle Stars on completion of each challenge.
