Gears 5 as we all know is an upcoming third-person shooting video game which is being developed by The Coalition and Xbox Game Studios is publishing it for Windows and Xbox One. The game is all set to be released on September 10. However, Microsoft and The Coalition have shared new information about the multiplayer modes today. The pre-load has gone live on both Xbox One and the Windows Store. It will be arriving on Steam too soon.

Earlier, early access was set to be available from September 6 but now, the early access begins from September 5 onwards. Furthermore, you can also access Gear 5 : Ultimate Edition through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Gears 5 is said to be much more advanced than its predecessors. According to Gears 5’s Multiplayer Design Director, “The franchise will feature 60 Hz servers for the first time.”

The file size of the pre-load has also been revealed and it varies in between 54GB to 65GB. This is also the first time ever, the game will be available on Steam with support for cross-play with Xbox One and PC version of the game enabled.

Moreover, Gears 5 will feature a new Escape coop mode wherein, three players have been awarded some time in order to escape from a hive. 4 hives along with 7 multiplayer maps have been included in the game, at the time of launch. Private Play will offer 5 more maps from Gears of War 4.
