eFootBall-PES-2020

Konami after adding ‘eFootball‘ before PES 2020, thereby managing to include both ‘Football’ and ‘Soccer’ is all set to take on the rivals EA’s FIFA 20 this month. Konami after snatching exclusive team rights from FIFA for teams like Juventus F.C., Manchester United and more, it seems like Konami is all geared up to take out FIFA once and for all. However, Konami still has no plans to allow the game to feature on Nintendo Switch. Even though EA has released FIFA 18, FIFA 19 and will release FIFA 20 on the hybrid platform Nintendo Switch but Konami doesn’t seem to be challenging EA on this front anytime soon.

PES brand manager, Lennart Bonzein spoke to Real Sport and on being questioned about PES’ inclusion in Switch, he said:

“I can’t really talk about the Switch, all I can say is that I love the Switch. I think it’s an amazing console and I really enjoy playing on it. As a company, Konami is aware of the Switch – we released Bomberman last year, we are releasing Contra on the Switch. For PES right now, just the current factors that the game is coming out on the three platforms – PS4, Xbox One and PC means there is no Switch version planned right now.”

It is quite intriguing as to why Konami isn’t bringing a version of its one of the most valued and highly praised console games ‘eFootball PES 2020’ to Nintendo. What’s even more interesting is that Konami has no plans of doing so even after knowing the fact that FIFA has been featuring in the Switch since a few years now and will once again be featuring, considering the fact that FIFA is the only worthy rival to Konami’s PES.
