The video contains clips displaying popular designs, specialty controllers, and controllers that never made it to the market.
The video takes us on a journey showcasing various ‘common’ controllers, based on game-themes, colors, laser-etched designs and more. However, the genuine features are the rarities. You will witness the early zebra-striped gamepads Microsoft sent to engineers (over), the organization just units and uniquely dispatched, not-available to be purchased models like one worked for the late, incredible Xbox Addict.
As it seems, it is more or less a promotion pitch for the controllers, but it does offer a rare peek inside the world of hardware design. The timing is pretty perfect considering the hot rumors leaking every day concerning the much-anticipated Project Scarlet Xbox. This is, however, a chance for Microsoft and fans to reminisce about the Xbox’s history before the focus shifts to its future.
