Overwatch, as most of you know, is a team-based multiplayer first-person-shooter game. It is a Blizzard Entertainment publication, released on May 24th, 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows. Overwatch has been a great success ever since its launch. And now, Blizzard was finally announced the Overwatch 2, at BlizzCon 2019.
Even though the release date has not been confirmed, the assistant director of the game Aaron Keller has revealed some not points that the game will have. The new game will have lots of new heroes, they are under development. The lead writer of the game Micheal Chu said that the game will have “a complete story with beginning, middle, and end” and that its co-op story missions will allow for “a more traditional way to tell a story in the Overwatch universe.”
Overwatch 2 will focus on creating “Story experience” using Hero Missions and environmental storytelling to flesh out the world of Overwatch. While talking about the new hero Sojourn they said that the Character has been teased multiple times in past cinematics. She has been in development since before Overwatch‘s launch. Overwatch 2 is just the opportunity Blizzard was looking for to introduce her character and story. The new character is very important for the event that will happen in the game.
