Niantic’s famous mobile game Pokemon Go has had a pretty amazing campaign until now as the first season on a high note. The first season offered some really exciting rewards and events, including the recent Water Festival 2019. And now, Niantic is bringing our childhood memories back as the evil ‘Team Rocket’ is coming to the game.
Pokemon Go has been quite active on Twitter in recent days. Just a few days back, the company tweeted, what seems to be a Rotom arrival. And now, Pokémon Go’s Twitter account is teasing an upcoming update, showcasing three new images which were posted today. Moreover, three figures are visible in the images, with the iconic Team Rocket R also featuring.

Team Go Rocket featured in the title back in July wherein players can challenge Team Go Rocket grunts in battles by spinning special PokeStops. With the introduction of Team Rocket, Shiny Ekans and Koffing, two iconic Pokémon of Team Rocket, also arrived. Then, Niantic and The Pokémon Company revealed people dressed as Team Rocket across Manhattan on July 26. Team Go Rocket “took over” various Pokémon Go digital ads across the city. And now, fans are speculating that Rotom is behind the corruption of these files. Moreover, Rotom also corrupted a file on the Pokémon Sword and Shield campaign recently.
Niantic has been really creative with the new season 2 which arrived on 9th September. Ultra Bonuses further introduced new Shiny Pokémon and many changes to the Raid battles. Then the Pokemon Go’s September Community Day Challenge brought the third and final wave of Ultra Bonuses as the company teased Gen 5 Pokemon to be making their way in the game this week. Gen-5 Pokemon introduced Shiny Mewtwo, one of the most coveted Pokémon in the game alongside Shiny Altered Form Giratina. Niantic didn’t even miss on the World Tourism Day as the company introduced new Shiny Pokémon as well as specialized Field Research Tasks to complete. Furthermore, if Rotom and Team Rocket are next in line to feature in the game, fans should be really happy with what Niantic has offered in the running Season 2.
However, since no official confirmation has been made and these just fan theories and we can only expect them to be true.
