PUBG Mobile India update: Ministry hints that there are very little chances of relaunch

At present, the highly anticipated question at the Indian gaming industry is when the PUBG Mobile will relaunch in India. Rumours say that the game might be released soon in India but the launch might take time for different reasons. The game should at first meet all concerns raised by the government and then only there are chances of the re-release of the game in the country.

According to a new report, the government has hinted that there are very less chances of the relaunch of PUBG Mobile in India. The report also added that the Ministry said that ‘access to PUBG in India’ is not illegal. A report by Insidesport as a reponse to an RTI filed by Gem Wire on 17th December, 2020 said that it has no banned the access of Mobile Nordic Map: Livik App. The report added that the first query was a follow up to the first question that if the ban implies to the new application, on what basis it will be. The same report also unveiled more details about the launch of the game in India. One more question was in the RTI which asked that whether there was an open dialogue taking place between MEITY and PUBG Corporation/Krafton INC. The RTI response to this said that there has been no formal dialogue with PUBG/Krafton held by this Ministry. This also hints that the availability of the game might take some more time in India.

The company is working a lot towards bringing the game back in India for gaming enthusiasts. PUBG Corporation also recently confirmed that it will take players’ privacy and security very seriously from now onwards. The company also said that these two criteria will be given more importance. PUBG Corporation confirmed that PUBG Mobile India game will be tailored according to the requirements of the Indian audience or players and also the government.

There has also been a few rumours saying that the company is requesting the government to set up a meeting. But, the company has not received any positive response till now. So, players who are waiting for the launch of PUBG Mobile India might have to wait for some time now because the possibilities of the relaunch of PUBG Mobile is very unlikely for now.
