PUBG Mobile Season 17 released with Runic Powers, weapons and other attractive features

After the end of Royale Pass Season 16 on 17th January, PUBG Mobile global version has received the Season 17 Royal Pass on 19th January. The 1.2 update rolled out by PUBG has brought many new features like Runic Powers, Power Armors and a themed event with Runic Powers and new weapons. The official handle of PUBG said in an Instagram post that the update can be downloaded from the website. But because the game has been banned in India, players from India will not be able to install the update.

In Season 17, players will have an option to choose between Resplendent Dawn and Deadly Sickle at rank 50. They have to rank up till the 100th position to get the Guardian Armor Set that comes along with a new UZI and M16A4 skin. Along with these Runic Powers-themed rewards, there will also be an RP Activity Pack event in Season 17. Purchasing of the Activity Pack will also increase the RP and extra crate coupons will be provided. Also, the Honor building in Metro Royale and FAMAS rifle (only in Livik) will make an appearance.

Previously, the buzz related to the ban of PUBG in India pointed out 19th January as the relaunch date. Media reports and influencers of the game hinted towards the return of the game in the country. Till now nothing has been confirmed by the PUBG Corporation or the Government of India, it is expected that the game might make its return to India by the month of March. Even after getting banned, the game has enjoyed a wide and strong fanbase in India. This was the reason that led the company to open an India-specific subsidiary in November 2020.
