News has come around that PUBG mobile now supports 90fps in the US but is exclusive only to OnePlus for a month, specifically until 6th September. Playing PUBG mobile at a frame rate higher than 60fps has always been tricky, you would either need to live in China or download the Chinese version of PUBG. But, recent news suggest that Tencent is now adding a new support version of PUBG Mobile where it supports 90fps in the US and other countries as well. Good news, if you live in the US you won’t need to buy a phone with a 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate anymore. Although, Tencent is adding this new support in the US and other countries, you’ll still have to wait for a month unless you have some specific OnePlus phones like the OnePlus8, OnePlus8 pro, OnePlus7T, or OnePlus7 pro in which you can smoothly run the game at a 90 frames per second.

Tencent announced that after the exclusivity deal expires on 7th September, any person with an Android smartphone can play the game at 90fps as an enabling option. However, IOS devices won’t be able to run the game at a higher refresh rate as IOS devices such as IPhone’s screen is still stuck at 60Hz. Adding the new fps may help to run the game smoothly but will the new update reduce the graphical fidelity of the game is a question yet to be answered but we hope to soon find out.
