During this COVID-19 outbreak Sony has encouraged the concept of Play at Home. It is offering two of its widely recognized games for free.

This Play at Home concept is initiated by PlayStation 4. It will provide the games ‘Journey’ and ‘Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection’ to their users for free. However, these are free until May 5.

‘Journey’ is available on Microsoft windows. But the ‘Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection’ is exclusively on PS4. The Sony has taken this decision to keep the PlayStation community entertained at home during the coronavirus lockdown. They also said that this decision has taken to support independent developers as it understands “the hardships and financial struggles that many smaller gaming studios are facing”.

Once a user has retrieved the games, he/she can keep them. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake troupe consists of three games –

1: Drake’s Fortune

2: Among Thieves

3: Drake’s Deception.

The fourth edition of the series ‘Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’ is also available for free, but only if you are a PS Plus member. However, if you do not have the subscription to PS Plus, the game is available for Rs. 1,499.

Jim Ryan, President and CEO, Sony Interactive Entertainment says that “As a thank you to all who are doing their part to lessen the impact of this pandemic, Sony Interactive Entertainment is pleased to announce the Play At Home initiative”.
