Ubisoft has confirmed the delay of Rainbow Six Quarantine and FarCry 6 in an earnings call. So, they have pushed the games out of the current fiscal year, which ends in March 2021. Hence, it can now be expected to release in FY 2021-2022. That means either or both of the games may come out anytime between April 2021 to March 2022. Optimistically, CFO Frédérick Duguet added that they plan on releasing the games during the first half of 2021.

Ubisoft announced the delays in its recent financial earnings statement. Moreover, they also stated that their expectation delay was due to production challenges related to the work from home situation.

R6 Rainbow Six Quarantine

The FarCry talked about the delay on Twitter:

“Earlier this year, we (Ubisoft) introduced you to Far Cry 6–the most ambitious game in the series to date. We promised an immersive fantasy to lead a modern-day guerrilla revolution set in a rich and exotic world, filled with memorable moments, killer characters, and an epic story.

“While we (Ubisoft) know you are all anxious to get your hands on Far Cry 6, we want to let you know that we’ve been given more time to allow us to make this the game you aspire to play while focusing on the well-being of our teams in this unprecedented global context. Our teams around the world are working in the studios and from their homes to pour their passion and creativity into making an unforgettable game–one we hope you will love.”

Initially, FarCry 6 was set to launch on 18th February, 2021. But, Rainbow Six Quarantine didn’t have a date – only that it was supposed to launch early 2021. Work-from-home challenges caused the delay, now let’s hope for the best.
