According to WHO, it is possible for Covid-19 to spread through the air under certain conditions.

Experts believe that the lack of ventilation in crowded indoor settings such as restaurants, nightclubs and choir practices is responsible for the spread of the Virus as these situations provide a favourable condition to the virus to linger in the air more than the expected time. According to an earlier study published in May, respiratory droplets released in the air while talking could remain there for a prolonged period of about eight to 14 minutes in a closed environment.

WHO said, “Those most at risk from airborne spread are doctors and nurses who perform specialized procedures such as inserting a breathing tube or putting patients on a ventilator. Medical authorities recommend the use of protective masks and other equipment when doing such procedures.”

According to Scientists, outdoor spaces are safer than indoor spaces as virus droplets spread in the fresh air which reduces the chances of Covid-19 spread.
