Summer fruits

Often, the viral stories on internet or your daily doctor suggest you against drinking water immediately after eating. Today, we have come up with a report which suggests that doing so can be extremely dangerous. Not only food, but also a certain variety of fruits do not go hand in hand with water. Let’s have a look at it below

It is strictly advised not to drink water after eating fruits which have high water content. These fruits include watermelon, muskmelon, cucumber, orange, Kakdi, Pineapple and strawberry. The summer season is on its peak and there is huge demand of water to keep the body hydrated. Just to aware our readers, it was important to talk of such things which could be kept in mind to have a healthy summer.

Let’s have a look at few reasons

  • Disturbed pH level : We have all studied about pH level in elementary science. It is measured on a scale of 1 to 14 and 7 is the neutral pH. Going either too low or too high can be dangerous. Fruits and food items have a certain pH level which is beneficial for the body. Drinking water right after eating those items can dilute the pH level and slow digestion.
  • Increased probability of diarrhoea : Eating water-rich fruits smoothen the digestion process by providing the needed level of water. It also smoothens the bowel movement. Fruits like cucumber and melons help a lot in improving digestion if eaten in a proper way. However, if water is consumed right after eating them, the digestive system becomes too smooth and it can result in loose motion or diarrhoea. The digestive juices secreted by our body are also thrown out because of excessive water and that results in a disturbed digestion system.

Tips to overcome these challenges

The best thing possible thing can be to consume water at least after half an hour of eating fruits or food. This results in a proper digested food and improved efficiency. Summer required eating a lot of fruits as well as drinking a lot of water, so the readers should keep it in mind that a proper planning can help make things better.
