Apple just after the launch of iOS 13 has released iOS 13.1 today. The new iOS 13.1 comes with some bug improvement and brings back Shortcuts Automations, Share ETA, and features a tweaked volume indicator with unique icons that show what device you’re listening on.
iPad OS 13.1:
iPad OS 13.1 is the first release of Apple’s newly rebranded tablet-specific software derived from iOS (with which it will continue to share version numbers, it seems). The company has put out the video you can see above to promote the release of iPadOS.
Apple is basically promoting the iPad OS 13.1 as it releases the first teased videos regarding its promotion. This iOS has some added tablet-focused features on top.
The new feature includes:
- A new Home screen with smaller icons that lets you fit more apps per page,
- A Today widgets can be added onto the Home screen itself for easy access,
- Split View and Slide Over now support multiple windows from the same app, while in Slide Over there’s also a new option to view and switch between multiple apps through a card interface. An App Expose feature lets you view all open windows from an app and jump between them with a tap.
tvOS 13:
tvOS 13 gets the new feature of Home view which lets apps play full-screen video previews. There’s multiple user support baked in, each getting their own customized Apple TV interface with separate recommendations and playlists. The switch users give you the power to use the new Control Center, that also has a Now Playing widget, AirPlay controls, and a sleep option. Picture-in-Picture is in, letting you continue to watch TV shows or movies while using a different app or just cruising through Settings.
tvOS 13 supports Sign in with Apple and Apple Arcade, and it packs some undersea themed screensavers created in partnership with the BBC Natural History Unit.
What’s new in iOS 13.1 :
The iOS 13.1 apart from bug fixes and improvements, includes the new feature like AirDrop with Ultra-Wideband technology on iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max, suggested automation in the Shortcuts app, and the ability to share ETA in Maps.

- AirDrop gives you the ability to select who you want to AirDrop to by pointing from one iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, or iPhone 11 Pro Max to another using the new U1 chip with Ultra-Wideband technology for spatial awareness

- Suggested automation in the Gallery personalized to your daily routine
- Personal and home automation for automatically running shortcuts based on triggers
- Home app support for shortcuts as advanced actions in the Automation tab
Maps
- Share ETA to send your estimated time of arrival while your route is in progress
Battery Health
- Optimized battery charging to slow the rate of battery aging by reducing the time your iPhone spends fully charged
- Performance management feature for iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max to prevent the device from unexpectedly shutting down, including the option to disable this feature if an unexpected shutdown occurs
- Notifications for when Battery Health is unable to verify if a new, genuine Apple battery is in iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and later
iOS 13.1 update also includes bug fixes and other improvements like:
- It Added a link to the Me tab in Find My to allow a guest to sign in and locate a missing device
- Includes notifications for when the display on your iPhone is unable to be verified as a new, genuine Apple display in iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11, Pro Max
- Addresses the issues that were there in Mail that could cause incorrect download counts, missing senders, and subjects, difficulty selecting or flagging threads, duplicate notifications or overlapping fields
- Fixes an issue in Mail that may prevent background downloading of email messages
- Addresses an issue that could prevent Memoji from correctly tracking facial expressions in Messages
- Fixes an issue where photos might not display in the Messages details view
- Fixes an issue in Reminders that prevented some users from sharing iCloud lists
- Resolves an issue in Notes where Exchange notes may not show up in search results
- Addresses an issue in Calendar where birthday events could appear multiple times
- Addresses an issue that could prevent third-party sign-in screens from appearing in the Files app
- Fixes an issue that could cause Camera orientation to appear rotated when swiping to it from the Lock screen
- Addresses an issue that could cause the display to sleep while interacting with the Lock screen
- Resolves issues where app icons could appear as blank or as a different app on the Home screen
