Exams are always stressful and if given an option, we would all love to discard the examination systems. Our clock completely changes during the exam time, leaving us occupied with our books. We ensure that we carry our hall tickets, stationary, water bottle and of course reach in time rather than on time. Time Management is a must, as reaching late would lead to adrenaline rush as well as distract others.

The education department in Karnataka had given a deep thought on Time Management and hence has come out with the 1 minute rule which will be applicable from next year. The CET and II PU students will have to be punctual hence forth. Any student who will be late even by a minute will not be allowed to write the exams. Discipline in every part of life is a must. The late comers’ enters the exam hall, takes time to settle thereby distracting the fellow students. There are 60 questions to be answered in 60 minutes by the CET participants and hence loosing even a second could be disastrous. The score in these competitive exams is the ticket to the future.

exam time

The 1 minute model was earlier introduced by Andhra Pradesh and it was very fruitful. The same rule is extended to EAMCET exams in Andhra Pradesh. The education department in Karnataka also wanted to experiment with 1 minute rule and hence are applying this rule only to II PU and CET exams. The students gave a mixed reaction to the new initiative. Many students were happy as punctuality would be there during exams, whereas some students opposed as one cannot rely on Bangalore traffic. There are also outsiders who visit the city to appear for the exams, hence finding the locality would be little difficult for those strangers.

I hope the 1 minute rule, by the Karnataka government would help the students in Time Management and in bringing the best out of them.
