An unreleased build of the Google Camera app’s next version has leaked online and it will reportedly be bringing in a few UI changes. Most notable change is tha the Night Sight mode has now been moved to the Google Camera app’s home page or the main interface. Another improvement is the screen flash feature has been renamed and the white balance control has been removed from the camera UI. The updated build of Google Camera app is now available to download via a third-party Android app repository.

With Google Camera v6.3, Night Sight has been moved out of the More tab and will be featured into the main Camera UI. This makes it very convenient and easy to access the feature. However, in lowlight conditions, the Google Camera app will automatically suggest you to use the Night Sight feature via the suggestion pill in the main camera. Apart from this, 9to5Mac also “discovered references to a new feature called ‘McFly’ mode and it seems to be a Back to the Future reference, and will most likely let users shoot videos in reverse or stop motion.”

Along with the relocation of the Night Sight option, the white balance and color temperature options have been dropped out from the Google Camera app with this update. Google can be expected to give its constantly improving AI to take up this duty of automatically managing the white balance. There is an introduction of the “Flash” for selfies, which brightens up the interface to emulate a soft flashlight, is now called “Illuminate.” There’s, however, no change in terms of how it works.

The updated build of Google Camera app can now be downloaded from APKMirror.
