whatsapp to run on multi-platform

Popular messaging app used by millions of users, Whatsapp is reportedly working on a multi-platform system enabling users to use or activate Whatsapp account on multiple devices on same time. According to WABetaInfo, Whatsapp is working on UWP (Universal Windows Platform) to let the application run on PC as well.

Currently, Whatsapp only offer Whatsapp web where user can use whatsapp on a webpage in laptop or PC. It requires Whatsapp to paired with desktop using QR scanner. It’s been huge hassle for users as the application not work in multiple smartphone in same time. WABeta Info also reveals that UWP supported app can run independently in multiple smartphone of same account. The UWP version will also come with video and voice call feature which is currently not present in Whatsapp web version.

The multi device platform version will work in windows 10 operating system. There is no update over its macOS compatibility. WABeta also hints at the possibility of Whatsapp working on end to end encryption.

Whatsapp was acquired by Facebook on February,2014 and there is no official announcement made related to this rumours.
