Security Check indian airport

Continuing the trail run started with the leading 8 airports, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has decided to stop luggage stamping on 6 more airports from Tuesday. These new airports include Chennai, Patna, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, Lucknow and Jaipur.

The decision to implement second round was taken after the initial run in country’s leading 8 airports came out to be successful. The pilot run, which included airports like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Cochin, had no complaints from the passengers and saved a lot of time for CISF personals.

General O P Singh, Director CISF said that the second round of trial will take place from 24th to 30th April. In the meantime, there will not be any luggage stamping on 6 more airports. CISF has implemented various measures to identify suspicious bags and high definition CCTV cameras are being installed to keep a close eye on any suspicious activity on these airports.

According to sources, the practice of non-stamping the luggage bags of passengers is saving a lot of time for the passengers and CISF alike. There has not been any concerns till now from the airports where it was implemented from April 1st. Every bag on the airport is being scanned by smart CCTV cameras and other security measures implemented by CISF.
