Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal on Friday again asserted to have a pre-poll alliance with Congress not in the national capital but in Haryana. Delhi Chief Minister said while talking to a TV Channel, ‘AAP is capable of defeating Bharatiya Janata Party on its own in the national capital, but the party needs Congress in Haryana to defeat BJP‘.

Kejriwal said an alliance of AAP along Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) and Congress will easily defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party in Haryana’s 10 Lok Sabha Seat.

Kejriwal’s fresh offer for alliance came when he was speaking to a TV Channel in Andhra Pradesh’ Vijayawada where he was addressing a rally in support of his Andhra Counterparty Chandrababu Naidu.

Kejriwal added, ‘I don’t Understand why Congress is not open to having poll tie-up tp defeat BJP in the next month’s Polls’.

However, this is not the first time Kejriwal has shown willingness ink an alliance with Congress in Haryana. Days after Congress rejected Aam Aadmi Party‘s proposal to ‘go together’ in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal had on March 13 pitched a similar proposal for forging an alliance in Haryana.

AAP in a run-up the general elections have already announced its candidates on all 7 seats of the national capital after alliance talks a fail alliance talk with Congress. AAP has also announced three candidates each in UP, and Bihar next month’s mega battle of ballots.

Haryana has a total of 10 Parliamentary seats and is considered a state where BJP has a stronghold. In 2014 General Elections, banking of heavy Modi wave, BJP won 7, INLD bagged 2 seats while INC won a single seat.

Haryana will vote on May 12 in a single phase to elect new parliamentarians on all 10 seats of the state.

Election Commission had on March 10 declared schedule for General Elections 2019.

The Polls will spread across seven phases starting from Aprill 11 till May 19. Results for the crucial Lok Sabha Polls will be announced on May 23 four days after the 7th phase of voting.
