Soon after assuming office as Prime Minister for the second term, Narendra Modi on Friday met Governors of many states in the national capital.

Those who met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi include – Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan, Kerela Governor Justice P Sathasivam, Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal, Governor of Jharkhand Droupadi Murmu, Andaman and Nicobar Governor Admiral DK Joshi, and Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao, Governor of Maharashtra.

PM Narendra Modi also shared pictures of the meeting with several Governors from PMO Official handle.

This is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first meeting with Governors after taking charge of the Office after storming back to power in the recently held national polls.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi allocated Portfolios to all new Ministers inducted in his Cabinet 2.0. PM Narendra Modi in his Cabinet 2.0 made crucial changes replacing Rajnath Singh with Amit Shah for Home Ministry while Nirmala Sitharaman who held Defence Portfolio in previous government has now been allocated Finance Ministry in absence of Arun Jaitley.

Rajnath Singh has been appointed as the next Defence Minister replacing Nirmala Sitharaman.

PM Modi on Friday also held its first Cabinet meet after assuming office for the second term and approved many schemes.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi who got a massive mandate in recently held national polls, on Thursday took oath for the second term in an official function at Rashtrapati Bhawan. President Ram Nath Kovind administrated oath to PM and his Council of Ministers. A total of 57 ministers along with PM Modi took oath at the ceremony held in the national capital.

On all 24 Cabinet Ministers, 9 Ministers of State with Independent Charge and 24 Ministers of State took the oath on Thursday.
