While emphasizing on the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana he claimed that “more than 20 lakh hectares of land has been brought under micro-irrigation”.

To enhance the position of the farmers the promise of the FPO or Farmer, Producer and Ration and a farmer’s union at a grass root level was highlighted. “ Women self-help groups like these farmer producer organization with organic, aromatic and herbal farming will be clubbed to increase the wages of the farmers and it is a very significant step.”

The facility of an online portal called e-Naam has also been introduced to do away with the presence of middlemen. “Our effort is to provide farmers assistance at all stage of agriculture — at the time of sowing, after sowing and at the time of harvesting,” he said, adding the policies are being planned to help farmers right from seeds to markets.

By 2022 the PM promised to complete the ‘entire process’. He addressed the gathering and specifically mentioned the areas of ‘animal husbandry’ and those specific spheres which still doesn’t have a stipulated legislation to govern them. It was assured by the Prime Minister that the Centre will be definitely looking into those areas of concern.
