News agency ANI reports, All 24 ministers of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s cabinet tendered resignation today. This was the party’s decision in order to reassign duties: Perni Venkataramaiah, YSRCP, Andhra Pradesh.

According to news agency ANI, the Andhra Pradesh cabinet has been dissolved. After completing the last cabinet meeting, all the ministers have submitted their resignations to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the state secretariat. It is believed that after the resignation of all the ministers of the cabinet, the cabinet will be formed afresh.

These ministers held the responsibility for 34 months in the Jagan Mohan Reddy government of Andhra Pradesh. These ministers assumed their office on June 8, 2019. These ministers were to remain in their posts till December 8, 2021. However, the reorganization of the cabinet was postponed due to many other reasons including the Corona epidemic.

This decision of CM Jagan Mohan Reddy is being linked to the upcoming assembly elections to be held in 2024. It is believed that the ministers will be selected keeping in mind the 2024 assembly elections. This is the biggest reshuffle of the Jagan Mohan Reddy cabinet since the formation of the government.

Only a couple of ministers from the outgoing team are likely to be retained, sources say. These ministers are not being replaced as they are the only members belonging to politically vital communities that need to be represented.

According to reports, the names of new ministers can be submitted to the governor on Thursday. On April 11, the Council of Ministers can be reconstituted in Amravati. However, no official announcement has been made regarding this yet. CM Reddy had announced last month that he would take up the task of restructuring the cabinet after Telugu New Year Ugadi and formation of new districts. Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy met Governor Vishwabhushan Harichandan on Wednesday and informed about the cabinet reshuffle.
