Amit Shah : Ayodhya temple will be constructed in Uttar Pradesh in four months

Commenting on the upcoming Ayodhya temple construction, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the temple will be built within the stipulated time period of four months. The BJP leader was addressing a public rally in Pakur, Jharkhand on Monday. The Home Minister is currently holding many rallies in the Jharkhand state as the state is undergoing the fourth phase of the poll that began on Monday.

As quoted by ANI, Amit Shah said, “For a hundred years, people across the world have demanded a temple at the site where Lord Ram was born. The Supreme Court’s decision has now come and in four months a sky-high temple will be built in Ayodhya.” The announcement carries an important significance as the Supreme Court has settled the Ayodhya controversy for the final time on November 9.

Previously, the court had also dismissed 18 review petitions filed against the Ayodhya verdict. Chief Justice of India Sharad Arvind Bobde said that the petitions had no merits.

In November 9 verdict, the country’s apex court had settled the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi title suit. Supreme Court had allotted the 2.77-acre disputed land to the Hindu parties and said that they could construct a temple at the site. While the court announced to give an alternate five-acre land to the Sunni Waqf Board at some other suitable place for construction of a mosque. The court also ordered the government to form a trust that will oversee the constriction of Ayodhya temple.
