Amit Shah while recently addressing for the upcoming polls in Telangana has confidently exerted that the party which will come in power will be backed up by BJP. He also added that the chances of Telangana Rashtra Samiti coming back to power was slim and that BJP will emerge to be victorious or a new party will emerge which will have the support of BJP. Addressing the media before setting off for the poll campaign he addressed:

“Going by the way TRS governed the state during the last four-and-a-half years, I think it is unlikely to get public mandate again this time.”

Shah in his address also criticised K.Chandrashekhar Rao by taking a jab at the ‘family rule’ and also accusing him of failing to meet the expectations of the people. Claiming, that the reasons for which Telangana state was fought for and created had not been addressed by the state government. Mr. Rao had been unable to fulfill the promises made in 2014 elections.

“The progress of Telangana will continue only if Narendra Modi is elected at the centre and a BJP supported government at Telangana,” he said further in his address.

Shah said BJP has improved its public contact and improved public support over the last few years, which has helped the saffron party to evolve into a decisive force in Telangana. He said BJP will contest solo in all the Assembly segments and Narendra Modi will campaign in Telangana.

The BJP president accused TRS of resorting to minority appeasement and vote bank politics at ‘the cost of self-pride’ of the people of Telangana and to stop commemorating Hyderabad Liberation Day on September 17. “It is only because TRS came under pressure of MIM for vote bank politics that it stopped celebrating September 17 and Liberation Day,” he added further.
