Mourning the suicide of students in Telangana over Intermediate examinations, Chandrababu Naidu said that he was deeply saddened by the incident.

Mourning the incident of student deaths in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday took to Twitter to express his deep concern. Chandrababu Naidu said, “I am saddened by news reports that 16 intermediate students from Telangana state have died from suicide on failing in the exams. The deaths of students with such bright futures have shaken me. My deep condolences to their families,” Naidu tweeted.

The results of the intermediate examinations conducted for class 11 and 12 saw almost 20 students suicide after coming to know that they had not passed in the examination.

“I have one request to the students. life isn’t just about passing the exams. Exams are just recognition of your talent. But your lives are more important than exams. your lives are a lot more valuable,” he said on Twitter. “Do not end your lives prematurely and shatter the hopes your parents had on you, just because you have failed in your exams. Do not cause the grief of losing a child to your parents at this age… work hard and study again for good results. Keep building your skills. show talent in your chosen areas of interest and succeed,” he added.

the Telangana HC had asked the state government to conduct re-evaluations for the intermediate exams in the state.
