Playing safe in organizing its structure, Bahujan Samaj Party re-appointed Danish Ali as the leader of the party on Wednesday. Danish Ali is an MP from Amroha constituency in Uttar Pradesh state. Earlier, he had served the Janata Dal (Secular) for a long time before joining BSP.
Expressing his happiness over the appointment, Danish Ali extended his thanks to BSP supremo Mayawati and vowed to take his party to greater heights.
I humbly accept the responsibility of BSP leader in Lok Sabha. I am grateful to Behenji for reposing faith in me. As an ideological worker will always take stand and keep raising the issues, concerning the common man, in the interest of the party and the nation.@Mayawati pic.twitter.com/EgLy2i9T8o

Previously, Danish Ali was stripped off from his post by the party in August this year. He was replaced by Shyam Singh Yadav (an OBC leader). It was reported that the decision to take down Danish Ali from the post was to ensure a healthy balance between all the sections of the society in the party.
Along with him, RS Kushwaha was made to let go to make room for Munquad Ali for the post of party’s President. Munquad Ali was also an OBC (Other Backward Classes) leader. In the reshuffling done in August, Ambedkar Nagar MP Ritesh Pandey was made the deputy leader in the house.
Girish Chandra Jatav was allowed to continue to as the party’s chief whip.
