Congress party witnessed another rift in its stand on the issue of 370. Haryana’s former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, speaking from “Parivartan Maha rally” from Rohtak slammed his party leaders for not supporting the nation on the repeal of Article 370.

Abrogation of Article 370 has created an ideological difference in the Congress leadership. The party can be seen divided over its decision whether to support or not the ruling party’s move. Where younger factions are supporting BJP government, other senior leaders like Ghulam Nabi Azad have opposed the government’s decision.

As quoted by ANI, Bhupinder Singh Hooda said “When the government does something right, I always support it. Many of my colleagues opposed the Centre’s decision to abrogate Article 370. They have lost their way. It is not the same Congress as it used to be.”

It is widely speculated that the leader can desert his party and continue his political journey independently.

Speaking to the public, he also announced many welfare measures for the people. Loan waiver, free electricity to farmers, free bus service for women and employment opportunities were few of the major highlights of his commitments.

He also promised that if his party gets in power, he will bring legislation that will ensure that 75% of jobs go to the people of Haryana. Andhra Pradesh already has a provision like this.

He also promised to deposit Rs 2,000 in the bank account of every poor householder. the Minister also said that BPL people will get rice and wheat at Rs 2 per kg. Waiver of electricity bill up to the consumption of 300 units for poor people was also announced.

Haryana can be seen gearing up for the upcoming elections. Every political party is charging the atmosphere with their rallies and announcements. In a related incident, Amit Shah also held a rally to prep his party’s preparations, from where he gave the call for ‘Mission 75’.
