While earlier on Tuesday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Tikamharh Lok Sabha Seat Madhya Pradesh Dr. Virendra Kumar was picked for the post of the Protem Speaker. Kumar will be the Protem Speaker of the 17th Lok Sabha.

The first session of the 17th Lok Sabha will begin from June 17th and will continue till July 26.

Rajya Sabha will host its session from June 20 to July 26, Rajya Sabha secretariat stated on Monday. President Ram Nath Kovind will address the joint session of both the houses of June 20.

The Economic Survey will be released on the 4th of July a day before. While next day, that is on July 5th, new Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will table the full-fledged budget in the House.
