BSP Chief Mayawati hit out CongressNYAY Scheme mentioning ‘NYAY is not a permanent measure to eradicate poverty’.

BSP Chief Mayawati on Wednesday hit out at the Congress party mentioning their ‘NYAY’ Scheme will not pave the way for the permanent eradication of poverty.

“To influence voters, especially the extremely poor, Congress party announced Rs.6000 per month for them. This is not a permanent solution of eliminating poverty,” she said.

“Keeping this in mind we would like to say that if we get an opportunity to form government at the centre then instead of providing Rs.6,000 per month to extremely poor families, we’ll give them permanent jobs in government and non-government sectors,” added Mayawati.

The Congress had promised Rs.72,00 annually 5 crore families to the poorest of the poor in its scheme. In another poll rally the BSP Chief said that Modi was unfit for the position of prime minister and that she would have fit the candidature to this position perfectly.

“As far as development goes, BSP has managed to change the face of UP. Lucknow was beautified to a great extent. On the basis of all this work, it can be assumed that for the welfare of people and the country, BSP national president is fit and in comparison to her, Narendra Modi is unfit,” said Mayawati.
