BSP supremo Maywati expresses anger over her party’s loss in Haryana; blames “selfishness” of Congress party

After an embarrassing defeat of the Bahujan Samaj Party in Haryana polls, party chief Mayawati expressed her anger over the Congress party for the loss of her party. She alleged that the selfishness of the Congress party is the reason behind her party’s defeat in Haryana polls.

As quoted by ANI, Mayawati said, “The people of Haryana were also very sad and distressed by the misrule of the BJP government and wanted to get rid of them. But the Congress party greatly publicized the fear of votes division among the public for their selfishness. Due to this, the dedicated voters of BSP did not deter, but other voters definitely get confused“.

BSP supremo claimed that her party’s vote share in this election was more in comparison to the previous assembly polls of 2014. However, the party was not able to secure a single win on any seat.

Haryana election results were declared on Thursday, with BJP emerging as the single largest party with 40 seats. Next to it was the Congress party with 31 seats. Indian National Lok Dal was able to secure just one seat, while other smaller regional parties grabbed eight seats.

Dushyant Chautala emerged as the major player in the electoral battle of Haryana with his party bagging 10 seats. Bhupinder Singh Hooda was able to successfully revive the Congress party and lead the party to secure 31 seats this time.
