After a resounding victory in three Hindi Heartland states – Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan on Tuesday, the Congress party has already kicked off its 2019 Lok Sabha Election campaign to oust the Bharatiya Janata Party from power at the Centre.

The Indian National Congress on Wednesday posted a tweet to announce its new ‘Clean India campaign’. The tweet read “India ka naya Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”  with a hashtag #CongressWinsBig and carried a map of India highlighting the states where the Congress and the BJP are in power, respectively. The BJP-ruled states were highlighted in Saffron Colour while The Congress-ruled states in blue color.

The new ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ is being seen as Congress’ response to the BJP’s ‘Congress-mukt Bharat’ campaign, which aims to remove Congress governments from all states of India.

The recently concluded state assembly elections results have given a big boost to the Congress party as well its chief Rahul Gandhi in the run-up to Lok Sabha Elections slated for next year.

The victories have also boosted Rahul Gandhi’s claim to the post of prime minister should the Congress party win or emerge as the single largest party in General Elections next year.  Congress resounding victories in assembly elections of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan will also make it way easy in negotiating the seat share in other states while forging a Grand Alliance in a run-up to the assembly elections.
